RockSalt On My Sneakers
A sun-bleached island-rock drift with enough trouble in it to stay alive, built around clean guitars, loose freedom, and the kind of afternoon that refuses to tidy itself up.

Production Notes
The guitars stay clean enough to keep the track bright, but the rhythm section gives it a little drag and grit so it doesn’t drift into postcard sweetness.
What makes it stick is the casual defiance in the lyric. It’s not trying to escape consequences, just refusing to let them own the whole day.
Lyrics
[Verse 1] Got sand in my backseat Salt on my sneakers Last night’s plans Still stuck to this T-shirt You say I should grow up I say “maybe later” Got one more wave to chase One more bad idea [Chorus] We got all day We got all night Burning slow But it feels so right Sun in our eyes and trouble on our minds Call it wrong But it feels like freedom Barefoot hearts Yeah we still believe ’em Breaking all the little rules we find Just to pass the time [Verse 2] Phone’s on the towel Face-down Forgotten Your laugh cuts the heat Like a drink at the bottom You draw in my notebook Little skulls Little halos Say “be good” as you climb On my shoulders for the rainbow [Chorus] We got all day We got all night Burning slow But it feels so right Sun in our eyes and trouble on our minds Call it wrong But it feels like freedom Barefoot hearts Yeah we still believe ’em Breaking all the little rules we find Just to pass the time [Bridge] Maybe we’re just passing through Faded towels and cheap tattoos (oh yeah) If this is all we ever do I’m still alright I’m still alright [Chorus] We got all day We got all night Burning slow But it feels so right Sun in our eyes and trouble on our minds Call it wrong But it feels like freedom Barefoot hearts Yeah we still believe ’em Breaking all the little rules we find Just to pass the time (hey!) Just to pass the time
